Sandspit Fishing Charters offers a fantastic fishing trip within 40 minutes from down town Auckland. "PLAYIN HOOKY" is a 36ft alloy boat and can cruise at a comfortable 25 knots, departing from Sandspit Wharf almost daily, 7km from Warkworth. See our "contact" page for map & directions.
Nick Dobbyn will be your Skipper for the day. Nick is a qualified Maritime NZ Skipper, a proven Soft Bait expert, a Free Diver who currently holds NZ records and a self confessed fish-a-holic who's passion is to catch BIG fish and enjoys it just as much when he can help others, like yourself, to achieve a GRAND catch!
We can have up to 6 - 7 Anglers at any one time and have a variety of packages to offer, varying from just $159.00 per person to $1799.00 for a full day private group charter.

Our 6hr Auckland fishing charter trips cover some of the many beautiful Hauraki Gulf Islands.
For the more adventurous who prefer full day, weekend or a week long fishing charter then Nick can cover areas such as the Three Kings, Great Barrier, Little Barrier, Mokes, Hen and Chicks, Simpson Rock, Hinau Island, Coromandel,Cuvier Island, Kawau Island, Flat Rock etc.

Nick is without a doubt one of Auckland's top charter operators and as records show a proven Fisherman. He specializes in Kingfish, Snapper, Hapuka and Shark excursions. Nick is always very keen to go Marlin fishing whenever possible but you must ring for details on this one.
